Dr. Tapaswini Pradhan

Dr Tapaswini completed her Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and did her Masters in Oto-rhino-laryngo-logy from Lady Hardinge Medical college, New Delhi. She has been trained as a Head and Neck surgeon from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

Dr. Tapaswini is currently working as a Senior Consultant, Head and Neck Oncosurgery at Apollo Cancer Institute, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. She was earlier working with the Fortis Cancer Institute , Shalimar Bagh , Delhi  as a senior faculty .She had worked earlier at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, New Delhi, as a consultant in Head & Neck Surgery for 5 years and at B.L. Kapur Hospital, New Delhi for 4 years.

She acquired advanced training in the Use of Lasers from University of Genoa, Italy, Trans-oral Robotic surgery from Strasbourg, France and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery from Pittsburg, USA. She is an expert in trans oral Laser Micro Laryngeal surgery.

Besides clinical work Dr Tapaswini has a passion to teach and devotes herself in training the diplomate students in surgical oncology at the institute. She is an avid orator and engages herself in educating the public, specially children and youth through her talks on the ill effects of tobacco, prevention of cancer and nutrition. Her holistic approach to cancer treatment encompasses not only the technical aspects of surgery but also includes emotional support for the patient and caregivers too.

She has been an invited guest on TV and AIR on many occasions pertaining to health talks. Dr TAPASWINI’S CORNER’ is a Cancer Awareness programme based on interviews with Cancer Experts and Cancer Survivors under the aegis of External Services Division of AIR under AAROGYAVANI has been hosted by her.

She has been regular participant at various national and international conferences of head and neck surgery as faculty and has several awards to her credit.

Dr Tapaswini has a cherished interest in music and arts. Besides being an accomplished singer in Hindustani classical music, she also is an award-winning painter and a devoted Sitar player.
